Freedom from Fear

Fear can enslaveus, hindering US from fully experiencing the abundant life promised to us. But Romans 8 assures us that, through the spirit, we no longer are slaves to fear but children of God, able to approach our Father confidently and find peace in His care.

As much as most of us would like to see world peace occur overnight, lastin peach is truly achieved as more and more individuals awaken one by one and contribute their prayerful intention to humanity.

Each praying soul creates an energy that will inevitably find its expression. Just as the individual leaves of an elm tree can contribute to a magificent cover of shade, so can every peaceful prayer help bring about world peace.

A small act of kindness, forgiving thought, and prayerful hope move us closer to realization of world peace. The souls who shine their individual lights draw us closer to the moment when the human family sets the world aglow in a light-filled expression of love and peace.

Throughout our life, we have been blessed by the grace of God more times than we can remember. It has come to us through many channels, as an unexpected kindness, the help we did not have to ask for, and the forgiveness we didn't think we deserved.

Like all good gifts and blessings, grace always has its source in God. I am grateful to those who have shared their grace with me throughout this year. They have shown me patience and understanding and helped me grow into being the best, kindest expression of myself as a chaplain.

As the year of 2025 comes to an end, I extend that grace to others. I meet irritation with patience and offer a helping hand before being asked. I give generously and love much, trusting that the well of God's grace can never run dry.

Romans 8:16; The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.

Call to move forward

We are inspired by impulse to go forward, to start a new creative project, to begin something truly meaningful. We are blessed with spiritual gifts, including our creative nature.

Guided by God within, we enthusiastically pursue our passions. I believe in possiblility knowing that with God, all things are possible.

The intelligence, strength, order, and faith of God is ours, part of our spiritual inheritance. We claim these in prayer, filling our conciousness with the very power of God. Resuming purposeful activity, we spring forth, brimming with vitality and ready to make our mark on the world.

Every moment contains the seed of a new beginning. Every cell in our bodies vibrates with divine energy, and can't wait to get started.

We welcome the inner knowing that our minds and inhearts of what is ours to do. We release our notions of what the results will look like, and instead have faith that each next step we are guided to take will lead to what is best for us.

This same inner knowing tell us when it is time to cease worldly activities. When our work is done, we clearly know that our efforts are complete and we have done our part.

We resist the temptation to wonder or worry about specifics, timing, or anything else beyond our control. We trust the work we've done in the world is enough and that the proper result is on its way. At peace, we release our need to control the details.

We let go and allow inspired actions to flow forth from the well of spirit within.

Those of steadfast mind you keep in peace, in peace because they trust in you.

Isaiah 26:3

October 2025

There is only one basic for really enjoying life, and that's, to walk in the way in which God leads us. Then you are prepared to find delight in all sorts of wayside incidents.

For one thing, the ability of the senses to enjoy anything depends as much on the tone of the mind as on external happening.

When a man/woman is drifting through life, seeking nothing outside of self-gratification, the world must become increasingly a barren and forbidding wilderness.

But it is wonderful how many delights fall to the lot of him who is led by God. For such a one the clasp of a friend's hand, a cool drink in the heat of noon, a merry salutation from a passing traveler, a glimpse of beauty by the road, a quiet resting place at night, are all full of unspeakable pleasure.

HAVE NOT I COMMANDED THEE? BE STRONG AND OF GOOD COURAGE; BE NOT AFRAID. NEITHER BE THOU DISMAYED: FOR THE LORD THY GOD IS WITH THEE WHITHER SO EVER THOU GOEST.

JOSHUA 1:9

We must acknowledge, if we are not afraid to face facts as they are, that this seems to be true in the world today. With diabolical efficiency some of the rulers of the world are successfully welding their people and resources into a great unit with a single purpose and doing it with the fires of hate.

It is our faith as CHRISTIANS, abundantly proved by history, that hate as a unifying force lasts only a short time. In the end it destroys, not those against whom it is directed, but those in whom it is generated.

Love, a continual and undiminished flow of good will toward all men, is the only force which lasts and the only power which prevails. It was love which prompted God to send His Son into the world. It was love which caused JESUS to give up His divine perogatives and endure humiliation and death. It was love which carried the Gospel down the stream of the years, and it was love which made the Church the mightiest influence in the world. There is power in love, which one day will fill the earth with peace, for God is Love.

Love one another with mutual affection; outdo one another in showing honor. Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord. -- Romans 12: 10-11

August 2025

When we give our time and energy to a cause or person, we feel a special kind of fulfillment. It's awesome to know we are making a positive difference.

Serving brings greater meaning to our lives. It is an affirmation of spiritual affluence that extends beyond ourselves. Our talents are put to even greater use when we share them.

We serve with no expectation of recognition or reward. Just knowing that our efforts and energies are helping those who receive them fills us with peace, contentment, and a fuller experience of God.

The more we share the work of our hands and the love in our hearts, the more our joy grows, sending ripples of blessing into the world.

Like good stewards of the manifold grace of God, serve one another with whatever gift each of you has received -- 1 Peter 4:10

July 2025

Throughout time, there have been people who led lives that changed the world forever. Their words and deeds provided hope and inspiration for those who would carry forth their legacies of love, growth, and evolution long after they left this life.

Their most powerful contribution, however, was their ability to inspire others to express their own divine purpose. As more and more people reach their potential, the whole of humanity ascends.

Today I honor those who have led lives of service, striving for love, trust and justice. I take steps, not just to commemorate their journeys and contributions, but to embark on my own. I rise, grateful to contribute all I can to the growth and evolution of humankind.

Take action, for it is your duty, and we are with you; be strong, and do it.
