To have your community related announcements posted hereon, please forward the information and any flyers by email to our Adjutant; contact information for the Adjutant and other Post officers is available on our Post Officers page.
Examples of community related announcements are:
- Special events,
- Fundraisers for your high school, college, church, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Elks, Moose, Chamber of Commerce,
- Scholarships for the education of your children,
- Youth oriented baseball or other athletic events, etc.
More personal examples are:
- Disabled veterans needing rides to keep their medical appointments,
- Active duty deployed whose dependents need, e.g., minor home repairs, batteries installed in their alarm systems, etc.
- Veteran dependents needing baby sitters during an emergency.
If your announcements serve a benefit to and/or improves community quality of life, and is legal, Post 545, at it's sole discretion, may post your announcement. Except for emergencies, please allow at least two weeks notice prior to the event date.

---- Saturday, April 25, 2026 ---- America 250 Veteran Jamboree will be held from 10 am to 4 pm at the Veterans Hall Quad, UNC Wilmington campus. Join Us for a powerful celebration honoring our nation’s heroes from WWII to today. As part of the America 250 commemoration, UNC Wilmington invites All Veterans, All Services, All Periods, military families, students, and community members to gather in tribute and fellowship.
- Honoring ALL veterans from WWII to present day
- Celebrating the university’s GI Bill legacy & impactful contributions to America 250 for the past 79 years
- Live music and community resources and activities
- Distinguished Veterans to include MOH recipients, PH recipients, UNCW Military Alum, community member,
- All VSO's can have a booth for information sharing etc.
